How We Started
Cascade Cypress began in 2019 when our founders, both parents of young children, started questioning the ingredient lists on the products filling their home. What they found prompted a journey into formulation science, sustainable packaging, and regenerative supply chains.
Working with chemists specializing in plant-based surfactants and partnering with botanical suppliers across the Pacific Northwest, we developed our first line of household cleaners. The goal was simple: create products that work as well as conventional options without compromising on safety or environmental responsibility.
Today, we serve over twelve thousand households nationwide. Each formula is developed in-house at our Portland facility, tested rigorously for effectiveness, and packaged using our closed-loop refill system that has prevented over 180 tons of plastic from entering the waste stream.
What Guides Us
We believe that daily habits shape larger outcomes. The cleaning products used in millions of homes collectively impact air quality, water systems, and resource consumption. By making sustainable alternatives accessible and effective, we can shift those collective impacts in a positive direction.
Our ingredient sourcing prioritizes suppliers who practice regenerative agriculture. Our packaging team works continuously to reduce material use while maintaining product integrity. Our customer service focuses on education, helping households get the most from each product while minimizing waste.
